How do I actually get paid?
Every tip is paid straight to the bank account you connect during setup, by direct bank transfer — no card needed on either side. Chetly never holds your money at any point.
What does Chetly charge?
A flat 2.5% + ₦20 per tip — nothing else. No monthly fee, no setup fee, no hidden charges. Supporters can choose to cover that fee themselves so you get 100% of what they meant to send.
How long does a tip take to land?
Usually the same day. Your dashboard shows each tip's status as it moves from received to sent to your bank to landed, with a bank reference you can check.
Is my bank account information safe?
Your account number is encrypted and never shown in full anywhere in the app — not even to you, past the one screen where you confirm it. We only ever show the last 4 digits after that.
Do supporters need to sign up to tip me?
No. Anyone with your link can tip you directly with a bank transfer — no account, no app download, no card details stored anywhere.
Can supporters tip anonymously?
Yes — there's a "Tip anonymously" toggle on every tip. You'll still see the amount and any message, just not who sent it.
Why do you ask for my BVN or NIN?
Nigerian law requires it before any platform can send money to your bank account. It's checked once during setup and never stored — only whether it passed.
